Each of us on WeasleyCast has theories that we adore for the Series… here is a place where we will post our theories on what is to come in Deathly Hallows. Some will be discussed during the casts others may not.

Sheri’s Theory Space

1. Harry is going to go behind the veil. Jo has been writing a hero’s journey tale for us and this time instead of metaphorically going into the underworld, Harry is actually going to go there physically. I think that the US cover is depicting the veil room and that the veil is what we are seeing in the foreground. Oh yeah, I also think its really cool that Harry seems to be wearing the Slytherin locket. Looks like he took a page out of Dumbledore’s book. *giggle-snort*
2. Another one of my biggest pet theories is that the Hufflepuff Cup is in a Gringott’s vault. I think this for several reasons. First, Hufflepuff is an earth element, and Gringott’s is underground. Secondly, I do think that the books mirror each other. Book 7 will mirror book 1 and Harry went under Gringott’s in book 1. There is also the hint we get from the UK version of PoA whenever Sirius tells Harry in his letter to him that the Black family vault is Vault 711 (The one the Sorcercer’s Stone was in was Vault 713– coincidence? I think not.) Lastly, I think Jo has been giving us lots of hints about Goblins and that they will be playing a bigger role in Deathly Hallows. Go back to the second round of wombats and see how many questions involve them. I think that the UK Children’s cover art is a scene from Gringott’s and I think that the trio have been fighting off dragons (and whatever else is protecting the cup) and that a Goblin (Griphook anyone?) is the one right behind Harry holding GG’s sword and helping the trio.
3. Harry is NOT going to die (Do you hear me Stuart?  )
4. Hogwarts will reopen with Krum as the DADA teacher, and possibly Fleur as Transfiguation teacher.  Hagrid will be Gryffindor HoH.
5. The Dursleys are going to end up in 12 Grimmauld Place.  Again, this goes with my theory that books 1 and 7 are going to be connected and this time, it will be Harry protecting them and providing them a safe place to live once his protections are gone.
6. Nagini is a horcrux and so is the wand on the purple cushion that was in Ollivander’s shop.  Speaking of Ollivander, he is in hiding on his own, the DE’s do not have him
7. Hagrid will die, Peter will die (and he will fufill his life debt in a Gollum-type way) and Snape will die.
8. Speaking of Snape, he is GOOD….. Even if he is a greasy git in bad need of a shampoo.
9. There is no way that Harry is ever, ever going to use the AK to kill anyone.  Period.  Ditto for Neville.
10. We will see OBHWF (One Big Happy Weasley Family)  in the epilogue. 

Scott’s Theory Space

Lord Voldermort shall be defeated in one of the following ways:

• Since Voldemort’s soul is Unicorn tainted, 1/7th and who knows what else, an Ginny inspired Patronus may be just the think to finish him off.
• Using the Brother wands Harry will be able to summon up every soul LV has killed from his wand and take LV through the Veil into death.
• Snape or Peter will kill LV’s physical body once the Horcruxes are destroyed and a one on one soul battle will happen within Harry and Harry’s pure soul will win.
• Having Harry’s blood inside him is a ticking time bomb, since LV rejects love so much the blood will act as a “humanizing” LV to the point where he will self destruct from the love within his own hate filled body, this will be trigged by a Phoenix Song, possibly even from a Priori Incatatum which reverbrates a Phoenix Song.
• For the Harrycrux theorists, Once LV’s body and Horcruxes are destroy Harry will go into the Veil since his Scar is a Horcrux. The spirits either of the dead or of (Sirius, DD, Lilly and James) will show up and say it is not Harry’s time but they will take the last bit of Voldsoul with them and push him back through the veil since he was willing to sacrfice himself.

1. When DD died, his essance imbued itself into Hogwarts to turn the school into a true sanctuary for the Wizarding world, at least in Britain. Harry will use the School as a base of operations.
2. Ginny will lead the DA, perhaps go after a Horcrux or have information on one.
3. Harry will carry a lock of Ginny’s hair inside the locket that is shown on the US cover, this will remind him of her and be the thing that keeps him going and live through this struggle.
4. The number 7 is vitally important, Harry’s trio, plus Ginny’s trio equals six and only requires one more, who will it be? My guess is Draco.
5. I think Krum is to be the next DADA teacher, he will also be under the imperius curse and be a LV supporter in the guise of a friend
6. The Wedding will go off without a hitch for Bill/Fleur, however Bill will turn into a werewolf.
7. Peter’s silver hand will be what crushes the life from Nagini, after the snake bites him of course.
8. Hagrid will die sacrificing himself
9. Harry’s eyes are only so important as to remind certain ppl that he is Lilly’s son, for example getting the Horcrux memory from Slughorn.
10. Salazar made a Horcrux and is hiding out somewhere, Tom got his information from him about Horcruxes. Either that or Grindelwald tried to use Tom Riddle in propaganda for WW2.
11. With the OOTP blue cover being depressing and followed by the Green HBP cover which alludes to the Avada Kedavera. I feel that this last book being so much with oranges and reds that it comes to life. It reminds me of the Phoenix rising from the ashes and this is another reason I feel that Harry will survive.

Varza’s Theory Space

1. I do not feel that Harry is going to die… for good but I do feel that he will fake his death at one point. Most likely at the end and the wizarding world will think he passed away. This way, he can live his life to the fullest but without the world always seeing him as Harry Potter
2. I do think that the two book covers are connected. The background in the archway on the UK cover is the SAME as the sky on the US cover. I think that something may happen where the trio gets taken to an area where Voldemort is at.
3. Ginny will defiantly bring the DA back together
4. There will be a standoff of some sort at Hogwarts – Harry will most likely not be there. It will probably be the DA lead by Ginny while Harry has his final stand with Voldemort alone. He has always been alone at the end, it will be that way again.
5. Harry will go spend most of his journey alone.
6. Hogwarts will reopen for school…
7. I think one of the Weasley’s will die and I think it will be Molly because I think her death will be the catalyst that brings Percy back into the fold of the family and the fight.
8. My only firm theory is that Petunia did love her sister even though they had their own problems and her taking Harry in was out of that love. No other reason other then to protect her sisters child. I think Petunia will explain why their falling out happened and what she knows about the wizarding world.

MJ’s Theory Space

1. Snape and Petunia were “intimately connected” in their former years.  We will see that Snape was “that Awful boy” that Petunia was referring to in the “A Peck of Owls” chapter in Order of the Phoenix.

2. Harry IS a horcrux. I hate that I feel that way, but I am beyond fighting myself and the evidence.

3. Nagini is NOT a horcrux. Dumbledore was wrong…this amongst other things.

4. The Veil will come into play in book 7, however, I’m not sure the “love room” will. The Department of Mysteries is important, as the emotions and studies that have been taking place there are crucial to the character differences between Harry and Voldemort.

5. Snape is a very bad man.

Stuart’s Theory Space

 

Ranea’s Theory Space

1. Harry – NOT a horcrux. Sure there was a little transfer of abilities, but I don’t think there was any icky soul bits moving around.

2. Hogwarts will re-open, but the trio won’t be back in it all the time. They do need a place as a “base” though and the school will have all the people and information they might need.

3. I also think there is something majorly important (read as “horcrux”) in the Room of Requirement. The room where every hides stuff that is. There was just too much in there to not be a big possibility, and no doubt Tom would have found it.

4. I am convinced Dobby is behind Harry holding Godric Gryffindor’s sword on the UK children’s edition. I also think they are down in Gringotts.
